Solomon Law Firm, PLLC attorney Kathryn Barcroft is hosting a free webinar through Capital Region Human Resource Association (CRHR) on January 14, 2019. Attorney Barcroft will use her knowledge as a #MeToo attorney to analyze how the movement has changed the country’s legislation in the last year, specifically for New York State’s new policies regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
The webinar will describe these changes in New York law, describe examples of unacceptable workplace behavior, and provide guidance on the new policies that New York State companies and human resources departments will need to implement, including the handling of investigations, non-disclosure agreements, settlement agreements, and mandatory arbitration. Attorney Barcroft will also present ways to eliminate bias and discrimination within the workplace. The goal of the webinar is to explain how companies in New York must handle, and eventually prevent, sexual harassment.
