New York’s Updated Paid Family Leave Laws

In the state of New York, there have been recent changes enacted for paid family leave policy, and the benefits to employees will continue to increase until 2021. In 2019, New York employees will become eligible for a maximum of 10 weeks of benefits with an increase to 55% of an employee’s average weekly wage, or 55% of the state average weekly wage (whichever is less). The new maximum weekly benefit is $746.41.
