Solomon Law Firm, PLLC is honored to announce that Senator William C. Smith, Jr. has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Will serves as a Maryland State Senator and is a welcomed addition to the Firm’s Security Clearance practice.
Will earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor from the College of William and Mary. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Government from the Johns Hopkins University. In the Maryland State Senate, Will serves as the Vice Chairman of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and is the Chairman of the Maryland Senate Veterans Caucus. In addition, Will is a valued member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA).
Will holds a Top-Secret Security Clearance and is available to assist clients with the intricacies associated with applying for, maintaining, and defending security clearances. His practice also includes representing clients before the Department of Defense Central Adjudication Facility (DoDCAF), the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA), and any relevant component Personnel Security Appeal Board. He previously served as a White House appointee at the Department of Homeland Security, and he is currently an officer in the Naval Reserves.
