New York’s Sexual Harassment Policy Requirements

There have been recent and substantial changes to sexual harassment policies and training for companies, and the attorneys at Solomon Law Firm, PLLC can assist in making sure your company is compliant. As of October 9, 2018, all companies in the state of New York with one or more employees are required to have a specific written sexual harassment policy at their companies instituted and distribute the policy to all employees. By October 9, 2019, every New York employer is also required to have completed sexual harassment prevention training that meets or exceeds the minimum standards under New York state law, and employees must receive the training annually.
